Sanibel Island: Things to do and to see include shells, gators, and people. Oh my!

Some of Sanibel's GREATEST treasures: Sea Shells, the people, like my World Class photographer friend, and gators!!! Gator's Ding Darling BEST, vs. Chompers in your pool, of course. Check out Sanibel Wild . com for more awesomeness of nature and Creation.

Gator

In 2014 a black bear made news on Sanibel. Of course, the black bear was relocated off-island. Still living here are rumored Florida panthers, and of course, the bobcat!

Bobcat

Sanibel Thriller includes dolphin leaping. For a slower pace boat ride including sunset and sunrise, check out adventures in Paradise.

Wild Dolphin: Tahiti 80 feet ocean deep blue waters diving scuba experience.

This wild dolphin came right up to my camera for this shot. At 80 feet deep, and miles from any island. He just wanted some company. One of my most amazing diving experiences ever! — at Tahiti.

4 Wild Things to See or Do When Visiting Sanibel Captiva: Ding Darling

If you get a chance to visit SanibelWild.com you will see the talent of my friend Rick Zurbriggen. Rick takes his wife and kayak to Ding Darling to capture Sanibel wildlife on film.

Head to the ocean with your camera for the search for dolphins. You must decide between hunting for shells or the perfect dolphin picture. Worse case, get your shells then head to the Sanibel Thriller or Adventures in Paradise for a dolphin cruise.

The Sanibel children enjoy chasing Ibis after a rainfall. Look for a pack of Ibis feeding on the lawn. On your mark, get set, and go!!!

Roseate Spoonbill: No one captures Sanibel wildlife better than the above mentioned Sanibel Wild owner!

Things to do: Sanibel Captiva September Sunsets on the Causeway

Sanibel Sunday slows down In September. Not much traffic, nor business on the island, but super sunsets still are here for seeing.

These photos were taken from the Sanibel Causeway Beach. You can simply drive onto the Causeway Beach, park, take two steps, and you are on the beach. We love this because the unloading and loading of the car and children is made simple!

High five!

Date afternoon at Bowman Beach on Sanibel with Aubrie

Robin and I had scheduled a photo shoot date day at Bowman Beach only to realize Aubrie has no school on Friday. No matter. We made the best of the 3-year-old's attendance on our date. — at Bowman's Beach, Sanibel Island FL.

3 Beach Things To Do on Sanibel Captiva

1. Beach walk: Take time to walk the Sanibel Captiva beach with your love at sunrise and sunset.

2. Float in the gentle surf: Bring your swim suit and float as the waves gently roll onto the shore. Best to wade out to the area before the surf breaks.

3. Watch for dolphins: Bring a beach chair and watch for the dorsal fin of the Sanibel Captiva Dolphin. Usually, the dolphins surface along the buoy line. Have your camera ready.
